Parcs Canada
This innovative-designed building constructed in Gatineau is Parks Canada’s new 8,200 m² storage centre. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to house more than 25 million archaeological and historical objects under the agency’s care. The project aims to ensure the sustainable, long-term preservation of this precious collection, with the goal of protecting it for future generations. As part of this project, RGCV was mandated to carry out the ventilation and refrigeration work. Given the highly specialized nature of the building, our involvement aimed to design, supply and install a ventilation system ensuring Class A climate control. The system was designed to maintain strictly controlled temperature and humidity conditions, in accordance with the conservation requirements of heritage artifacts.
